Nowe horyzonty wiedzy: wystawa cyfrowa „De revolutionibus” i jej zaawansowane funkcje interakcji z dziedzictwem kopernikańskim
Abstract
The article discusses the digital exhibition „De revolutionibus of Nicolaus Copernicus (1543) in Polish libraries", which was a part of the celebration of the Year of Nicolaus Copernicus, organized by the University Library in Toruń. It shows the story of the life, work and legacy of the great astronomer, allowing for interaction with the Copernican heritage. The exhibition is based on the open-source Omeka S system and employs innovative digital tools, including artificial intelligence. The article discusses solutions enabling the creation of interactive digital narratives and the structuring and linking of open data. The text emphasizes the pivotal role of the Digital Exhibition Platform, which provides the infrastructure for collaborative efforts in designing and constructing subsequent exhibitions and innovative projects in the field of digital humanities.
