Agenda for the new library. Towards the knowledge society: three waves of change in the modern library

Abstract

This article is an introduction to the Nordic Public Libraries 2.0 publication where the author presents new aspects of development and modernisation at Scandinavian libraries, as well as three projects – case studies of sorts – that correspond with these modernising tendencies.  The goal – ‘the new library’.
