Reading manuscripts online - Pietro Mellini’s inventory and van Gogh’s letters
Abstract
The article is an attempt to illustrate the possibilities of reading, studying and publishing manuscripts in the Internet. The author describes two projects, which offer the opportunity to authors and readers worldwide to become familiar with the correspondence of van Gogh and the hybrid work of Mellini. These two electronic publications not only provide the opportunity to historians of art, literature and researchers of the history of the 17t or 19th century to read, study and compare the work, but may also be an inspiration for editors and text expert, looking for ideas for the structure of electronic editions of scientific literary works.References
